Swimming Pool: Location
The swimming pool address is: Hewett Academy, 137 Hall Road, Norwich, NR1 2RN
Assuming you are coming from the direction of the A146, you will need to continue to drive down Hall Road and take the left turning just before the zebra crossing. Entrance to the swimming pool site if using the what3words app: ///wizard.laying.hired
There is a pink ‘Inspiration teaching school hub’ sign on the side of the building. Continue through to the third car park.
Parking
You can park anywhere in the Inspiration Trust car park.
Access
To the rear of the car park there is a wall and a pathway that you must follow.
You then go up some steps.
There are some signs saying ‘Swimming Pool’. Turn left once you have come to the end of the building and are facing a tree and some grass.
Go towards the big wooden building in front of you. This is where the swimming pool is located. Entrance to swimming pool building if using the what3words app: ///best.years.waddle
Wheelchair-friendly Access/ Those who find steps difficult
Alternatively, to the rear of the car park there is a wall and a pathway. Follow the signs for cheerleading which will take you around the back of the wooden structure and up the ramp.
At the top of the ramp, turn right and right again to the front of the wooden structure. This is where the swimming pool is located.
Arrival and changing
Upon arrival, go through the doors go straight through to the swimming pool where you will need to remove outside shoes. Once on poolside, turn left and then left again to access the changing rooms. Once changed, go back to poolside, where I will be waiting to greet you.
Parents/ guardians will be able to watch the lesson from the spectator’s area by the swimming pool (as passed through earlier). It can get warm so please bring a drink with you.
After the lesson, you can use the changing facilities to change and there are communal showers.
If your child needs extra support getting changed, there is a single disabled changing facility on poolside that you can use. Please be aware that other people use this at times so you will need to take your personal belongings with you.
